Celebrating our 84th season
This coming season is the Philharmonic’s 83rd year. In the 2023-24 season, we will play five concerts at Pike Performing Arts Center.
We will provide the dates and times once the upcoming season is finalized. Our first rehearsal is on August 28.
Rehearsals are on Monday evenings at 7:30-10:00 with additional rehearsals on Thursday and Saturday prior to every concert.

Auditions for New String Players
The Philharmonic Orchestra, the largest all-volunteer orchestra in Indianapolis, is holding auditions for NEW string players on
August 28 and September 6, 2023.

Please prepare 2 works that demonstrate your musical talents. One piece should be fast and technical and the other slow and lyrical. You may also be asked to sight-read music from our upcoming season. You will audition privately for 10 minutes with Music Director Orcenith Smith. Like the Phil itself, our auditions are friendly and relaxed.
If you are invited to join the orchestra, the first rehearsal is also on Monday, August 28th from 7:30-10 PM. Join US!!
