join our all-volunteer orchestra
for the 2024-25 season.
Auditions for New String Players

LOCATION: Orchestra room, Pike High School, 6701 Zionsville Road, Indianapolis
The Philharmonic is friendly and casual – and so are our auditions. Please prepare two pieces that show your musical accomplishments. One piece should be lyrical and the other technical. The Phil's conductor and artistic director, Orcenith Smith, will hear you privately. You may be asked to sight-read a selection from the upcoming season. Auditions take about 10 minutes.

This coming season is the Philharmonic’s 84th year of entertaining the Indianapolis community. In the 2024-25 season, we will play 5 concerts at various venues. We will provide the dates and times for the upcoming season. Our first rehearsal is August 28.
Rehearsals are on Monday evenings at 7:30 with additional rehearsals on Thursday and Saturday prior to a concert.
